Today I finally got the "incompatible print cartridge" warning. I'm glad that the scanning is working now. HP has scanned your product but currently has no suggestions for driver updates. Getting it for free c4400 does not cut it. How does HP install software and gather data?

It has trouble scanning from the printer to the PC so you have to go into your control panel and click on the printer and scan from the PC.

I'm really tired of dealing with this and have gotten nowhere. I have same error message, it feels like this is just a scam to buy ink only from HP at inflated prices.
